\"\"<\/a>The last time my wife and I slept in was over fourteen years ago.\u00a0 That\u2019s when we had our first baby.\u00a0 Babies cry A LOT.\u00a0 They cry when they\u2019re hungry, or wet, or dirty, or uncomfortable, or afraid, lonely, gassy, sleepy, etc\u2026.\u00a0 No one has to teach them. It\u2019s what they do.<\/p>\n

Babies are born crying.\u00a0 While they may cry for a number of reasons, at it\u2019s fundamental level, it\u2019s a cry for just one thing\u2026 nearness.\u00a0 Babies don\u2019t think about it.\u00a0 They come pre-programed to cry.<\/p>\n

Why?\u00a0 Because parents are pre-programmed to get up and take care of crying babies.<\/p>\n

Our spirits have come pre-programmed to cry also.\u00a0 As the Scripture says, \u201cBecause you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying, \u201cAbba, Father\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Without the Spirit of Christ, we complain, boast, argue, grumble, analyze, strategize, criticize, whine\u2026 we do anything but cry to God for His nearness. \u00a0Our \u201cold tapes\u201d lure us into the darkness of self-protection with lies that we are alone and must take care of ourselves. \u00a0We are determined to be strong, but God wants to be our strength. So God puts the Spirit of His Son in our hearts, calling on His Name.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

For all eternity, the Son of God has known nothing but the loving embrace of His Father.\u00a0 He has always enjoyed the perfect security of His Father\u2019s all-power and all-wise care.\u00a0\u00a0 The Son of God has tapes far older than our \u201cold tapes\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 Because we are sons, He\u2019s playing them in our hearts now by His Spirit.\u00a0 We can \u201cpiggy back\u201d on our elder brother beyond all our fears and doubts, and let Him carry\u00a0us\u00a0into\u00a0our\u00a0 Heavenly Father\u2019s arms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
